Came here for my first time and it was great! Great food and great service too. We had an awesome bottle of wine; Quattro from Osoyoos, arrancini to start, the veal parmesan and lamb shank risotto for mains. All the dishes were excellent but the lamb shank was especially amazing! Highly recommended for a lovely date night out!

Wanted to try something new and came across this restaurant. Disappointed to say the least. Table service was painfully slow. What I ordered was a Cobb salad. What a disgrace. I missed taking a pic. To describe, half an iceberg lettuce cut into 4x 1/4's and laid out as it sounds. Less than half of an avocado, maybe 2 tablespoons of cold bacon bits and a 1/4 cup of chicken bites that was pan fried.
And that's it. How's does that sound?
Oh, it's in a hotel.
You would expect with so many choices in Vancouver, every establishment would step up their game.
Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen and the wait staff.
I always give establishments a 2nd chance before dropping off any lists.
Maybe one day, I'll return. But can say not in the near future. -

We ordered a Cesar salad and the fungi pizza. The salad was great. The pizza was alright. A little too salty for our liking. We ordered the tiramisu cake as well and it was NOT tiramisu.. not sure what to even call it. It just tasted like the lady fingers were dipped in sugar water. No taste of coffee liqueur or anything at all. Just don't get it!
Can't comment on the atmosphere or the Interior because we got it to go. -

We drove around looking for a spot to eat and ran across this place. The first door we walked in was the Jazz side and that is just silliness they want you to say zero words once you get in there to eat, so we nearly knocked out talkative selves down getting back out the door, but as we did the hostess told us to go in the other door where we could yak on all night.
Ironically, the couple in front of us had made reservations for this side but wanted the Jazz side, so they just let us take theirs and sent them to where they could sit in silently.
They were very nice about letting us pick a table and servers were very nice but super slow. Trust the reviews that state this. VERY SLOW.
Food was great though and I would go back without a doubt. The steak had a nice charred/grilled flavor. We had a caprese starter, and my husband got the chicken parm. He said it was good, but from my side of the table it looked like a mountain of spaghetti, which I love but it looked like a lot.
I would go back again and keep in mind that service might be slow to the point we might miss our movie, which we almost did. Prices are average for this area. -

Came here for $35 dineout recently. It was one of the few Italian places downtown so we came here, but the price really wasn't worth the food or the experience.
We requested a quieter table in our reservation, to which the staff was very considerate in making sure that would happen. Upon arrival, we realized they probably gave us the best table there. (Shoutout to the very nice staff!)
The food, however. The mushroom soup was served warm & had no texture besides a mushy liquid base. The flavour was stable & tasty but not original. It reminded me of something homemade I'd eat at a retreat.
The mushroom risotto was recommended as a main course. I won't say it was bland, because the base of the flavours were definitely there - however, it needed to be enhanced a lot more. The risotto could've also been cooked longer. I also tried the rigatoni with Italian sausage. The sauce wasn't too salty which is nice, as Italian food can get too salty sometimes, but I got tired of eating it after a while. Again, nothing to leave a lasting impression.
The only part I enjoyed was the lavender panna cotta. The flavour was creative. The texture could use some more work on making it more smooth but it was quite yummy.
The atmosphere was also weird; it's a mix of a bar and a potentially fancy restaurant but also family dinner night. They play 2000s pop songs in a setting where you'd expect jazz.
This place gives me the impression that they haven't quite found their identity yet, in food & also their establishment. The food is tasty, but not restaurant worthy, and I was bummed because they actually have great menu items. Although they lack execution, I think they hold potential.
